Frequently Asked Questions
Welcome! This guide explains the shared features of the Canis and Felis Clubs. Some buttons, currencies, shops, and optional tools vary between the four Club sites, so use the menu on your site to see which features are available there.
Getting Started
What should I do first?
- Visit Adopt and choose a pet. Give it a name and select its gender.
- Open My Pets or the pet’s profile to see its level, appearance, and available actions.
- Visit the Boost page to earn boosts and progress through levels.
- Use Inventory to apply items you own, and check the site’s shops for more.
How do I adopt a pet?
Choose Adopt from the menu. Select an available species, enter a pet name, choose Male or Female, and submit the adoption form. The pet will be added to your account.
For Gold, the chosen gender matters: the adult artwork is gender-specific. Males use the male Gold image and females use the female Gold image.
What are Eggs?
Pets at Level 1 and Level 2 are shown as Eggs. Their saved adult or inherited artwork is kept with the pet, but the site displays the species’ Egg image at those levels. When the pet reaches Level 3, its adult artwork appears.
What do boosts and levels do?
Boosts move a pet through its growth levels and may also earn the site’s currency or other rewards. The shared Club level ranges are:
| Level | Boost count | Display |
|---|---|---|
| Level 1 | 0–9 | Egg |
| Level 2 | 10–19 | Egg |
| Level 3 | 20–34 | Adult |
| Level 4 | 35–49 | Adult |
| Level 5 | 50 or more | Adult |
Where a level-up potion is available, its item description explains what it changes. Check your pet’s current boost count and level on its profile.
How do I earn the site’s currency?
Currency names and reward amounts differ among the Clubs. Common ways to earn it include boosting pets and using activities or quests shown in that site’s menu. Your balance and the available earning options are shown on the site itself.
What are Boost, Adventure, and quest pages for?
Boost is used to progress a pet’s level. Other activity links—such as Adventure, Explorer or Gem quests, games, battles, or sparring—are separate features that may offer rewards, rankings, or other ways to participate. The four Clubs do not all have the same activities, so check your menu and the instructions on each feature page.
Breeding, Eggs & Inheritance
How do I breed pets?
Open Breed and choose two eligible pets of the same species/type. The breeding page lists the pets you can select and will report if a pair does not meet its requirements. In general, pets must be adults (Level 3 or higher) before they can breed.
Enter a name for the offspring and submit. The new pet is added to the breeder’s collection as a Level 1 Egg. Parent names are recorded for the pedigree where that feature is available.
Do all species merge their parents’ images?
All breeds use the normal parent-image merge system except Gold. Depending on the merge result used by that Club, a non-Gold offspring may show an even blend or favor one parent’s appearance.
Gold is the exception: Gold parents do not merge. Gold breeding requires one male and one female. A female offspring receives the mother’s complete image, and a male offspring receives the father’s complete image.
Does a swapped base pass on to a Gold offspring?
Yes. The Gold child inherits the complete saved image from the parent selected by the child’s gender. A swapped base is part of that parent image, so it can be passed on in the same way.
Why does a new offspring show an Egg instead of its inherited adult appearance?
That is expected. Level 1 and Level 2 pets display the species’ Egg image. The offspring’s saved appearance is retained and is used when the pet reaches Level 3 and displays as an adult.
Why is a pet unavailable in the breeding selector?
Check that both pets are yours, are the same species/type, and meet the level requirements shown on the Breed page. For Gold, you must select one male and one female. If the page still rejects a valid pair, note both pet IDs and contact an administrator.
Can I see a pet’s family?
Open the pet’s profile and use the pedigree link or button if it is shown. The pedigree displays recorded parents and family artwork. Not every Club version provides the same pedigree tools.
Appearance, Bases & Customization
How do I change a pet’s base?
Some older Club versions have a Base Swapper in the menu. Select your pet, choose a base that matches its gender when the species has gender-specific artwork, preview it, and apply it. A base swap changes the pet’s saved appearance. Read the on-page warning before confirming because the change may replace its previous displayed artwork.
Newer Club versions may not include a Base Swapper. If you do not see it in your menu, that tool is not available on that version.
Why can’t a female Gold choose a male base, or vice versa?
Gold has separate male and female artwork. The Base Swapper filters the available Gold bases by
the pet’s recorded gender and checks the selection again when it is submitted. Female base files
use the _Base_F.png ending; regular base filenames are shown for males.
What is the difference between Dress-Up and a permanent custom design?
Dress-Up places decorative items over a pet and can usually be edited or removed later. Use the Dress-Up page if it is available in your version, move the items into place, and save the look.
Some versions also provide a Custom Maker for saving a permanent design. The Custom Maker is separate from temporary Dress-Up items; follow its on-page instructions and eligibility rules. Availability can differ between Club versions.
How do I equip backgrounds, toys, decorations, or other items?
Open Inventory, find the item, and choose its use/equip action. Select the pet when prompted. Some items are attached immediately; others ask for a second confirmation so you can check that you chose the right pet.
How do I remove an equipped item?
Open the pet’s profile and use the Remove action beside the equipped item, if provided. Returned items go back to your Inventory. Dress-Up layers can be removed or repositioned in the Dress-Up editor.
Why does my pet look different on different pages?
Dashboard and list images are smaller previews, while pet profiles show the larger image. Eggs are used for Levels 1–2. Saved bases, gender-specific Gold artwork, and supported customization layers should appear in the adult views. If one page is missing a saved appearance, refresh once, then report the page name and pet ID to an administrator.
Inventory, Shops & Pet Market
How do I buy items?
Open The Market or the shop link in the menu. Browse the available categories, check the price and item description, and purchase the item if you have enough site currency. It will be added to your Inventory.
How do I sell or buy a pet from another member?
Use Pet Market to browse listings. To list a pet, open its profile and use the sale option if available. Review the displayed price before confirming. A completed purchase transfers the listed pet to the buyer according to that site’s market rules.
Why can’t I find an item or shop?
Shop categories and stock vary by Club and can change over time. Check the menu and the Market’s category links. Some items are earned through activities rather than bought.
Profiles & Community
How do I update my avatar, nickname, or profile theme?
Open My Profile and use the profile settings shown there. Available fields and themes differ between versions. Save your changes before leaving the page.
How do I view another member’s pets?
Open the member’s profile or select one of their pets from a public list. Use the pet’s profile link to see its appearance, details, and pedigree tools where available.
How do friends and messages work?
Use Friends to manage friend requests and My Messages to read messages. Use Send A Message to contact another member. Community and privacy options are available through the links shown on your site.
What are rankings, battles, or sparring for?
Some Club versions include leaderboards, battles, or sparring. These pages explain which pets or scores qualify, how a challenge works, and whether rewards are offered. If a link is not in your menu, that feature may not be enabled on your version of the Club.
What should I do if a page or image is not working?
Refresh the page once and check that you are signed in. If the problem continues, send an administrator the page name, the pet ID (if it concerns a pet), what you clicked, and any error text. Avoid sending your password.
Have a question that is not covered here? Contact an administrator through the site’s message system. Please include the page or pet ID involved so they can help more quickly.
